Wonder Woman Cupcake Toppers Printable!
We’re big fans of Wonder Woman the movie, here at Alpha Mom. Of course we had to throw a party and share all our crafting ideas with you. This is the first post in our Wonder Woman party series.
First up in our three-part Wonder Woman party series are Cupcake Toppers.
We loved some of the quotes from the movie so we threw them in with images that reminded us of the 2017 version of the movie. I know there may be some die-hard classic Wonder Woman fans out there wishing we would have created something more traditional but those ideas already exist all over the internet. This is our current interpretation.

These Wonder Woman cupcake toppers are designed for a 1.5 inch hole punch or you can cut them out freehand. Then attach a toothpick to the back with some tape and pop them in your cupcakes.
Cupcake Decorating
When it came to decorating our cupcakes, we decided to punch things up a notch with color mist dye in pink, orange and red and add some chocolate “shards” (really, chocolate brittle) that reminded us of the final battle scene between Wonder Woman and Ares. We loved the color scheme of sunset and who doesn’t love chocolate brittle?!
Color mist is something new for me so we had a lot of fun spraying our iced cupcakes to create a cool air-brush-esque gradient. (We may have pretended our cupcakes were tiny cars in a spray-paint booth.) We created our little spray paint booth with a piece of cardboard that we scored in two places so that it folded around our cupcake stand. This really helped keep the spray from misting all over the kitchen. Color mist food dye is non-toxic but as with any aerosol spray, take caution and don’t breath it in on purpose.
Making Chocolate Brittle
To create what we are calling chocolate “shards” (but is really brittle) we melted about a half cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips in the microwave. One minute to start, then in 15-second increments until it was completely melted, stirring between each heating interval. We spooned the melted chocolate onto a sheet of parchment paper in a random fashion and then added star sprinkles just for fun. Then we popped them in the refrigerator for about an hour to harden the chocolate. When the chocolate had completely cooled we broke it into pieces kind of like how you would create chocolate brittle. Of course we did this on a very hot day and our chocolate melted again pretty quickly but it didn’t really hurt the final effect since destruction was the look we were going for.
When our cupcakes were decorated and topped with our Wonder Woman cupcake toppers we displayed them on our fancy cupcake stand and let our wonder girls enjoy!
We love you Woman Woman. Clearly we’ve been inspired to create this from scratch because we are fans. We’ll take this post down if this bothers you. We’ve just made this craft because we wanted to keep the Wonder Woman party going.
