It’s that time of year when the kids go back to school and the artwork comes back with them. If you’re like me you probably have a on-going gallery exhibit on the refrigerator door featuring all their latest masterpieces. I thought it would be fun to make some little magnets to commemorate this special time of year. Some back-to-school magnets! What’s more back-to-school than a bunch of little apples!
Each year I make my kids new napkins for their lunchboxes. In addition to being more eco-friendly, I have to admit that I love to make cute patterned napkins to add something special to their lunch away from home. This is an incredibly simple project and a great one for beginning sewers.
I know most of us are trying to cut down on disposable packaging when we send our kids off to school with packed lunches these days but sometimes packaging happens. Plastic cups, juice boxes, baggies, lids…it adds up after a while. You could recycle it at the curb OR you could save yourself a bazillion dollars at the craft store and make things with it!
