Raisin Box Valentines!

By Brenda Ponnay

I don’t know about you but we still have candy sitting around in our snack cabinet from Christmas and Halloween of last year. I’m trying to cut down on the sugary snacks in our house so I thought it might be fun to make classroom Valentines that doesn’t involve processed sweets or candy. We decided to gift wrap something naturally sweet, raisins! And dried cranberries, too. At our house, we LOVE dried cranberries. Yes, they are still loaded with sugar but at least they’re better than another box of conversation hearts. There’s a little fiber in there, along with the sugar.

Here is how you can make some too!

1. Print and cut out our “Naturally Sweet” Classroom Valentines printable HERE

2. Fold along the white lines

3. With a glue stick glue down the tabs that say “1” and “2” (see photo above)

4. Glue down the other side and the lid last.

Three cheers for something healthier and still sweet this Valentine’s Day!
