Holiday Gifts for Girls

I try not to distinguish between boys and girls in gift guides, but there are clearly a number of gifts that are super awesome and– let’s be honest here– scream GIRL.
Here we go!
Henna Kit

You know you want to do this too! This henna kit comes with “authentic ingredients” and detailed instructions. Phew.
Music Box
As a girl I coveted music boxes with a passion. Just loved them. Especially winding them up and watching the ballerina go round and round. This horse ranch treasure music box is just darling and something I gift often to little girls.
Quilt Kit
As you know, we love crafts here. So, this quilt kit appeals greatly to our sensibility. (I’m starting to see a theme… choosing items I want for my-10-year-old-self).
Alice in Wonderland Doll
Three dolls wrapped into one. Or technically, one cloth doll with three costumes. This treasure is by Madame Alexander and the outfits of Alice, the White Rabbit and Queen of Hearts are delightful. In this case, it’s quantity and quality.

    I don’t want to come off PC/preachy/unreasonably offended — though I’m sure I will. Sorry. Really. :(
I’m not sure how any of these “scream GIRL.” The only reason I can think of for boys not liking these is the ‘those are for girls’ stigma.
Not offended at all. very glad to hear that you think boys will enjoy these choices as well. You make a fair point.

All I know is that I would have been totally over the moon for that horse music box. OMG! Pretty box! With HORSES! And music. And HORSES! And secret compartments! And did you see it has HORSES?

I love the henna idea, but please be careful when choosing a kit. Some kits, especially those labeled “black henna,” may contain black hair dye (PPD), which will chemically burn skin. Real henna should leave an orange-ish, reddish brown stain.
Editor: Thank you for your feedback and concern. Here is the ingredient list for this product as taken from the etailer: 100% Pure Essential Oil, Pure Henna, Black Tea, Sugar, Cotton Balls, Toothpicks
