Cable Channel For Moms Set To Debut This Spring
Parenting brand Alpha Mom will debut with a 24/7 cable network and a merchandising and promotional campaign. Alpha Mom will focus on offering information on child-rearing issues while providing guidance to women on how to maintain their style, sophistication and sense of self during motherhood.
The centerpiece of the Alpha Mom brand will be the Alpha Mom TV network, which will be launched as an exclusive video-on-demand network. It will be available in April 200 to nearly 10 million digital cable subscribers through distribution deals with Comcast and other Moss. A branded CD and DVD product will be released to coincide with the cable channel’s premiere.
Alpha Mom will also be promoted though national promotional partnerships with Macy’s department stores and Loews Cineplex Entertainment. An extensive licensing and merchandising program that will include audio and video products is scheduled to get underway in spring 2005. Other branded merchandise will follow in the fourth quarters of 2005 and 2006, respectively.
