Alpha Mom is a consumer lifestyle brand, new media and research company for moms and moms-to-be. It was founded and is run by Isabel Kallman, a mother to a 6 year old son. She has a blog on the site, Minding My Business.
Even though Alpha Mom is New York-based, our writing contributors, product reviewers, and online visitors are from all over the United States.
Our website has a couple of divisions:
1) editorial articles for your enjoyment
2) Alphamom Labs, our research arm where marketers can talk to directly to our community of moms

Our Mission

Alpha Mom was started because, as counter-intuitive as it may seem, motherhood is not a natural instinct for many (many) women.
Rather, connectedness is a new mom’s first instinct. And, with non-judgmental support and advice from other moms and parenting professionals, we try to help women embrace motherhood with confidence.
As with everything, we all still have lots of questions and believe that there are no easy answers in parenting. You’ll often find us engaged in conversations either seeking or providing advice, all while trying to raise happy and healthy children.
At Alpha Mom we are tolerant of all styles of parenting as we can all learn from each other. We don’t believe there is a perfect mom style. In fact, we see humor in motherhood’s imperfections. So, join us to learn, support and laugh at the messy and magical experience of being a mom.

We only accept advertising and sponsorship opportunities from companies whose product and services we would use ourselves. (Yes, as financially painful as it can be, we do turn away advertisers and sponsors.)
If a product or service review is a sponsored one, we will fully disclose that fact.
