Valentine’s Day Craft: Safety Pin Bracelets

By Cindy Hopper

Looking for a fun gift to make with your kids for Valentine’s Day? These bracelets would be perfect for special friends!

Safety pin bracelet

All you need is some 1mm elastic cording (or thicker), about 40 safety pins and an assortment of beads. You can use any size of safety pins — just make sure the beads fit on the pin and it is able to close.

The cord needs to be thick enough to stay in the top part of the safety pin and not slip out. We found the covered elastic cord worked well.

The beads can be place randomly on the safety pins.

Once all of the pins are beaded, thread them onto two pieces of elastic cord. Make sure all the beads are on the same side and the safety pins are facing the same direction.
