Turkey Place Cards for the Thanksgiving Table

By Brenda Ponnay

It was always my job to make name cards for our family’s Thanksgiving table. I don’t know if that was because I was good at it or if it was because they just didn’t want me in the kitchen eating all the olives and pickles from the relish plate. Either way it was a fun way to pass the time while the turkey cooked and my many Aunts busied themselves making stuffing and sides.

We don’t have a long table full of relatives who need to know where to sit anymore but it’s still fun to make name cards for tradition’s sake. This year I made a little stand-up turkey that I thought you might like to play with too. Have some kids underfoot that you need out of the kitchen? Print these out and let them get busy with some scissors. If they aren’t quite ready for scissors, here’s a printable they might enjoy.
