Puppy Pajamas were not on my Wishlist

What are you looking at? You’re looking at what happens when your mother takes your daughter shopping to get you a Christmas present. If your mother does this and does absolutely zero steering, your daughter will buy you pajamas with puppies all over them. Because your daughter wants a puppy more than anything and wants you to wear pajamas which infantilize you.

I was thinking, since I have to wear puppy pajamas for at least the next few months to show my appreciation, I’m doing to do some Post Holiday Shopping for myself. This is perfect timing because everything is on serious markdown at this point. For this little shopping trip, I’m mainly focusing on the major retailers so you can visit their stores for potentially better selection. (Additionally one of my post holiday gifts to myself will have anything to do with dogs.)
Back in November I eyed this dress for a wedding we were invited to. I showed it to my friend, who said, “Banana Republic? Yawn.” I didn’t buy it at that point, but not even because it’s so boring. I didn’t buy it because I’m cheap and I don’t like paying full price. But $99 and a cut which flatters my often curvy figure? A steal.
Let’s go onto J Crew, each year during their after Christmas sale I buy myself a very soft wool sweater. This year though, cashmere might be calling out to me. You’re yawning again, I know but it’s $99. Is this deep v neck more exciting? Good because it’s cheaper too! Also you must look at this dress, it’s more than 50% off and I’m not sure I can afford not to buy it.
Next up on my sale scavenging I’m looking at Boden. You can’t run into your mall for these deals and you have to move fast because they often sell out. But Boden is perhaps my favorite store and when they do their markdowns I am in a special type of heaven. This sweater is lovely and look! It’s not entirely boring, it’s embellished. I am also not sure how my life has been complete without this skirt and it goes with the cardigan! Perfect. 50% off people with no dogs!
