The New Martha Stewart CraftStudio App is Perfect for Glitter-Phobes
The transition period between school year and camp is always kind of crazy. Last week, I was running super extra-late when I stopped by the Martha Stewart corporate offices to check out their new CraftSudio App for the iPad (which launches today!).
And within the short-time I had, I was able to whip up this Father’s Day card for my husband. Some others (including young children) there were creating birthday cards, party invitations and summer camp cards.
The Martha Stewart CraftStudio App interface is super intuitive and there are some eye-popping touches. Like, you can dot your creations with “digital glue” then you can “sprinkle digital glitter” by shaking your iPad. Nice, huh?
I printed out my Father’s Day card at the MSLO office on cardstock, but the creation is also turned into a photo file which you can send via email, Twitter or Facebook as a card, invite, etc to your recipients. Or, you can send your photo file to a printing service (like Snapfish with which MSLO seems to have a connection) and have it printed on professional paper.
Here are some examples of other cards made with the app:
The great news is that the basic version of the new Martha Stewart CraftStudio App is available for FREE for a limited time. I used the basic version and it’s awesome and robust.
So go, go, go and get it now.

And, for added fun, the folks at Martha Stewart are launching a Pinterest contest encouraging users to submit their memory-keeping designs from the app. Martha Stewart Living editors will select the top submissions to be featured on Martha Stewart Living’s Pinterest page.
