A Note From Our Patron Saint

Y’ALL!

Laura Bennett needs our help. Your help!
It’s such a long story, but let’s just say there is some super-extra-awesome stuff going on behind the scenes here at AlphaMom, blah blah blaaaaaaaaaaaaah, and the upshot is that Laura Bennett (yes, that Laura Bennett, of Project Runway FabGlamFame) has asked us for a little bloggy favor:

I have an important meeting on Monday with a major retail source. The PR gay boys have posted an interview with me about a line of clothing I have designed and am looking to sell through this source. Some comments from real women could be invaluable during my meeting on Monday. This is sort of a call for help from all the Alpha moms out there.

The interview is here, at one of my very favorite blogs ever. Laura is the spokeswoman for Dress For Success, which provides disadvantaged women with professional attire for job interviews and such.
After I quit my job last year, I donated a slew of business suits to various charities, and I can only hope that they helped someone land a job who needed one. As Laura puts it: “I love the idea that an amazing chain of events for a woman can start with an interview suit. The concept is so simple yet so powerful.”
Anyway. Laura would like some comments from real women. About what you wear or wish you could wear. Now’s the time to provide an update on your own personal Fight the Frump battle, you know?
Dudes, I swear to God, if Laura does not get a line of clothing in stores soon — and in stores where I can buy it — I will probably cry. And then I will blame you. And show up to egg your house, probably while wearing sweat pants.
