Special Olympics: Thank You, Carol & Christopher McMullen

For several weeks I have been writing about mom Carol McMullen and her Special Olympics athlete son, Christopher as part of P&G’s Proud Sponsor of Moms campaign.

Now that the Special Olympics World Summer Games have come to an end, I’d like to share with you a video interview I led with Carol when I was in Athens. I’d love for you to see her with her son Christopher at the Games. Also, making a cameo in the video is Special Olympics athlete Margo Lee (you see her giving Carol a hug). Margo is also on the Marlins, the New Jersey Special Olympics aquatics team that Carol founded and coaches. Both Christopher and Margo come home from Athens with several medals each. Here are Christopher’s final results:

GOLD – 4x100M Freestyle Relay
GOLD – 200M Backstroke
GOLD – 200M Breaststroke
BRONZE – 400M Freestyle

It’s been an honor to get to know Christopher McMullen and his mom Carol and share their story with you. Thank you, Carol for sharing your story and wisdom with us.
