The reality is that I hope someday (maybe even someday soonish…) my teens will leave me and be able to feed themselves more than just ramen. While I’m excited to see the creative and adorable costumes this year I am also bracing myself for the yearly frustration that comes with costumes that culturally appropriate or are downright racist. I wish this phenomenon would go away and that I didn’t have to warn people but somehow it continues and I’m hoping that’s simply because people aren’t given stern warnings around it.
Traveling with teenagers isn’t always easy, which is why I was excited to visit Hyatt Lost Pines Resort in Bastrop, Texas. The resort offers non-stop activities for all ages, and during our two day stay, we were able to do some of them on our own, and some together. The perfect balance.
